This is continued from the Makeshift Boston section of Fever Dreams.
Just after proceeding past the Fake Boston Stage, if players look to the left, they will see some more of the cutouts. Searching this area, they can find a magazine which will unlock the cutouts for use in Workshop Mode in their homes/settlements.
Following the quest marker, the player will find a door with a red button next to it. Activating the button will take the player to the next cell.
As the player proceeds through the decontamination arch-lined hallway, Pike will come in over the intercom and explain that this place was keeping Supermutants alive, and that he’s released them to slow the player down. The player can explore the facility while listening to Pike.
At some point, they will come across a door with an inactive button; wires connected to it point the player’s attention upward. The player must find the room where those wires are connected.
Along the way, the player will come across a variety of Feral Ghouls.
Once the player finds the room on the floor above and flips the switch on the wall, the button to the door will become powered again. The player will be able to see that button out a window next to the switch.
Beyond that door, the player will encounter Radroaches and a hostile medic Protectron, before eventually running into an agressive Assaultron, which acts as the toughest final enemy before the player is given a significant weapon upgrade.
The player will then find their way to a room with a security Protectron, and the new XC-77 Plasma Gun.
A red button here will open the doors into another section of the makeshift Boston style, only this area is a small tight-city street. The area is crawling with Supermutants labeled as "Test Subjects".
The player can either fight their way through, or sneak past these enemies if they've found a Stealth Boy.
If the player does start combat, multiple waves of them will join the fight, eventually culimating in a mini-boss fight with a legendary named Lt. Col. Furlong. Defeating him will reward the player with a unique named Legendary version of the new Ditanium Plate Armor.
Background lore about Lt. Col. Furlong - and many other characters that occupied the facility pre-war - can be found on terminals, notes, and holotape text and audio recordings scattered throughout Camp Jefferson.
After defeating the Supermutants, or figuring out a way to sneak past, players will find themselves at the entrance to the next section, a mock Super Duper Mart that looks very realistic inside at first glance.
