The cardboard citizens of Makeshift Boston don't have to stay in Camp Jefferson. If the player finds the right magazine, they can build their own cutouts to decorate their homes and settlements. Finishing the questline also unlocks a pre-war radio that plays a familiar tune.

The cutouts are unlocked by reading the magazine U.S. Special Projects Resources. It's found in the backstage area just past the Makeshift Boston stage, at the start of the Weapons Training section. Look to the left for some more of the cutouts; the magazine is nearby.
Once unlocked, the cutouts can be built from any Workshop. They can be found in the Workshop menu under Decorations > Miscellaneous or Creation Club > Camp Jefferson. There's a single Cutout recipe, costing 5 Wood, which comes in six designs:
| Cutout | |
|---|---|
| Bartender Cutout | ![]() |
| Cat Cutout | ![]() |
| Child Cutout | (shown with the Cat Cutout) |
| Duck Cutout | (shown in the settlement above) |
| Postman Cutout | ![]() |
| Security Guard Cutout | ![]() |
Once the questline is complete, a pre-war Radio is quietly added to the Workshop menu. There's no message when it unlocks; it simply appears. When switched on, it plays the song that loops in the park during the Makeshift Boston flashback.
The Radio can be found in the Workshop menu under Decorations > Miscellaneous or Creation Club > Camp Jefferson.
