This is continued from the Operating Theatre section of Fever Dreams.
The player finds themselves in a medical lab with another injection machine similar to the first they found in front of them. As the player approaches, an animation kicks in showing the struggle their body is going through.
When they activate the device, this time instead of taking the injection, they struggle, and then collapse to their back. The screen flashes white.
The player awakens outside of Vault 111 in the past. The player’s spouse can be found nearby, and they are holding baby Shaun. The player can have one last conversation with their spouse.
Depending on where the player is in the main quest of the game, they may also find Father and synth child Shaun standing near their spouse as well.
After the conversation, a nuclear blast will trigger in the distance. As the nuclear blast reaches the player, the screen will flash to white once more, and the player will awaken back where they fell.
The player will be looking up and will receive the objective to get up. Upon moving, they will crawl their way back up and successfully take the final Antiviral injection.
The player will receive a pop-up explaining the new perk they’ve just received from stabilizing the mutation.
The 'get up' and 'second dose' objectives will complete. The 'lift the lockdown' objective will return, pointing them to a terminal in the next room.
Next to this machine is a holotape labeled "Incoming Comms 8172 - Fwd: D. Taylor"; if the player grabs this holotape, they can gift it to Dolores if she is still alive in the next section.
The terminal will have an option to Lift the Lockdown. Selecting this will update the player’s objective to leave the facility - pointing the player to the elevator next to the terminal. They will also receive a miscellanous objective to retrieve their gear.
The player can then enter the elevator and press the button to return to Army Base Hall.
