During the questline, as the player completes the Hero Paths, they unlock access to a set of skill trees for that Hero Spirit.
Investing Ectoplasm into these trees will enhance the player's Spirit Guide Companion when they take on that Spirit form. The skills will either increase stats or grant new abilities.
In some cases, the unlocks will impact the Spirit's Relic - which means the upgrade will improve the player's version as well!
The star symbols operate the same as those on the default UI's perk tree.
Once the player has at least one rank in a perk, any perks that require it will become available.
Below is a chart of the various perks available for each class. Each class has one primary tree that is visually in the center that represents the Spirits specialty when they were alive.
After the player hits certain thresholds of Ectoplasm invested, they will also trigger story moments.
